Site Circulation Studies

Site Circulation Studies

A Site Circulation Review / Swept Path Analysis examines the internal movement of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and service vehicles within a development site to ensure safe, efficient, and accessible operations. Our reviews assess driveway locations, sight lines, internal roadway geometry, parking aisle dimensions, pedestrian connectivity, accessibility features, and conflict points between user groups. Recommendations are provided to enhance safety, comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and equivalent provincial legislation, and align with TAC and municipal design standards.

Site Circulation Reviews are routinely required components of Site Plan Approval submissions and are often referenced in Zoning By-law Amendment and Minor Variance applications. Conducted under the direction of licensed Professional Engineers, these reviews are evaluated by municipal site plan, transportation, fire, and accessibility staff. Our team collaborates with architects, landscape architects, and civil engineers to refine site designs early, ensuring circulation issues are resolved before formal agency review and reducing the risk of costly redesigns.

Our team has in-depth expertise at conducting these assessments. Contact us today to find out how we can help with your project.
