Temporary Traffic Control Plans
Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Plans and Construction Traffic Management Plans provide detailed layouts for safely managing vehicular, pedestrian, and cyclist movements through or around construction zones, utility works, special events, and roadway maintenance activities. Our plans are prepared in accordance with the Ontario Traffic Manual (OTM) Book 7, Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) guidelines, and applicable provincial and municipal standards, ensuring proper signage, channelization, lane closures, detour routing, and protection of vulnerable road users.
Construction Management Plans (CMPs) outline how construction activities will be coordinated to minimize impacts on the surrounding transportation network, neighbouring properties, and the public during project execution. Our CMPs address truck routing, staging areas, hoarding, pedestrian and cyclist accommodations, transit impacts, emergency access, dust and noise mitigation, and coordination with adjacent construction projects. We integrate temporary traffic control measures, delivery scheduling, and communication strategies to support smooth project delivery.
TTC Plans and CMPs must be prepared by qualified personnel, often under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, and are submitted to municipal road authorities, regional governments, or provincial agencies such as the Ministry of Transportation for review and approval prior to work commencing. Reviewing agencies assess plans for worker safety, public safety, traffic flow continuity, and compliance with applicable standards. Our team prepares clear, constructible TTC plans tailored to project duration, complexity, and roadway classification, supporting efficient permit approvals and safe site operations.
